Leafhoppers-small wedge-shaped insects 1/8 to 1/4 inch long-can be seen flying or hopping short distances when disturbed. The insects are light green to yellow to brownish-gray. They damage grasses and other plants by sucking the sap from the leaves and stems.
Mow the lawn and water well before treatment. Treat after the grass blades have dried.
