Tiny (1/8-inch), dark green, soft-bodied insects cluster on the flowers, undersides of leaves, and young shoots. Leaves are curled, yellowing, and stunted, and growth of the plant is slowed. A shiny or sticky substance may coat the leaves. A black sooty mold often grows on the sticky substance.
