Leaves have holes chewed in them or are completely missing. New leaves are most severely affected, and the problem occurs most during warm weather from spring to fall. Green caterpillars 3/4 inch long may be present on the damaged leaves.
Apply an insecticide labeled for bougainvillea caterpillar, following directions on the label.
