Spiders - Don't let them bug you
If you have the occasional fly or gnat in the house, chances are you have spiders. Spiders live on pest bugs, but not enough to be considered for pest control. Most of the spiders you see rarely bite or cause harm. There is no need to control outdoor spiders. But if they're in your house, here are some ways to control them.
Prevention and Maintenance
Starve Them Out
Spiders spin webs to catch food. If you knock down their webs with a broom or duster, you'll keep them from eating. They'll look for better hunting grounds outside.
Keep Them Out
You can kill spiders that may enter your home by using Ortho® Home Defense Max® Perimeter & Indoor Insect Killer. Apply it around windows, baseboards, and doorways.
When You See Them Crawling Around

Spiders Defined
Spiders belong to the arachnid family and live throughout the country. The dangerous ones in the United States are Black Widow and Brown Recluse spiders. Black Widows have the distinctive red hourglass on their abdomens, while Brown Recluses are shy, brown spiders that try to stay out of sight.
