Pump 'N Go® Sprayer Frequently Asked Questions
-
What should I do if my Pump 'N Go sprayer won't hold/build pressure?
-
- Make sure the pump/lid is screwed on very tight. If it's not tight enough it will not hold pressure.
- Be sure to pump handle vertically up and down, off center pumping motions will not build pressure efficiently.
- If you are still having issues please call our Consumer Service hot line at 1-800-246-7219.
-
What should I do if the wand won't spray; there is no tension in the spray button?
-
Make sure the wand is fully extended. You can extend the wand by pushing the yellow button at the end of the wand that says "Storage Position." As you push that button pull the tip of the wand with your other hand until the yellow button clicks into the hole at the other end of the wand labeled "Spray Position."
-
What should I do if my Pump 'N Go Sprayer has a weak spray?
-
- Make sure you have attached the hose securely to the spout on the pump. When you hear it click into place then you know it is secure.
- Make sure you have pumped your Pump 'N Go Sprayer enough times. Fifteen to 20 pumps are recommended if the bottle is full - as the product is dispensed, more pumps are required to build sufficient pressure.
-
What should I do if the spray button on the wand sticks in the "on" position and won't stop spraying?
-
Turn the pump handle counterclockwise while it is in the down & lock position. This will release the pressure so no more liquid is forced out of the wand.
While releasing the pressure make sure you are holding the wand tip close to the ground in an area that is ok to be treated. Avoid the lawn, flowers, and other plants that you don't want to kill.
-
Why is it that I can't pump my Pump 'N Go Sprayer as many times when it's full then when it's not full?
-
When your Pump 'N Go Sprayer is full of liquid there is less room in the bottle for air pressure to build up. The less liquid you have in the bottle the more room there is for air pressure and the longer your Pump 'N Go Sprayer will spray.
-
Why is the Pump 'N Go Refill that I bought only 1.25 gallons and my Pump 'N Go Sprayer is 1.33 gallons?
-
The 1.25 gallon Pump 'N Go Refill of Roundup Weed & Grass Killer Ready-To-Use Plus is less than 1.33 gallons to prevent overflow. This product can foam when it is being poured.
-
Is my Pump 'N Go refillable?
-
- Yes. To refill your Pump 'N Go Sprayer push the pump handle all the way down and turn counterclockwise into the locked position. Continue to turn the pump handle counterclockwise until the entire lid starts to turn and unscrew. Once you have unscrewed the lid completely you can then remove the pump from the bottle and refill it. Refill your Pump 'N Go Sprayer with the same product that is on the Pump 'N Go label.
- Remember don't overfill, leave room in the bottle for the pump to be put back in with enough headspace to allow for pressure to build.
-
How do I get the lid off of my Pump 'N Go Sprayer?
-
Push the pump handle all the way down and turn counterclockwise into the locked position. Continue to turn the pump handle counterclockwise until the entire lid starts to turn and unscrew. This can be difficult sometimes if the lids are put on very tight. Once you have unscrewed the lid completely you can then remove the pump from the bottle.

How do I get started using my brand new Pump 'N Go Sprayer?
-
- CAREFULLY CUT the plastic ties off the pump handle and the wand.
- CONNECT- Unwind the hose. Firmly push the connector at the end of the hose into the spout on the pump until it locks into place.
- EXTEND WAND- Lift sprayer wand off bottle. Push the yellow button while pulling out on the wand nozzle tip. Fully extend the wand until the yellow button snaps into the "SPRAY" position. NOTE: white trigger will not function until the wand is fully extended and the yellow button is fully visible in the "SPRAY" position.
- PUMP- Make sure the handle is screwed on TIGHTLY or the bottle will not pressurize. Pump the handle 15 -20 times to pressurize the bottle. A full bottle requires fewer pumps than a half full bottle. Pumping to the higher range will provide longer sprayer duration. After pumping, push pump down & turn handle clockwise to lock into carrying position. NOTE: This bottle is designed to expand under pressure & cannot be over-pressurized.
- SPRAY- Aim wand. Spray by pushing down the white trigger with your thumb. Adjust spray pattern by rotating the white nozzle tip one half rotation. Spray weeds until thoroughly wet.
- STORE- When finished spraying, push the yellow button and push wand until the yellow button snaps back into the original storage position. Place the wand back onto the bottle with the nozzle facing down.
- DEPRESSSURIZE- Push pump handle all the way down and turn pump handle and cap -counterclockwise to relieve pressure, then retighten prior to storing.
