Moisten Orchid Mix before planting. Remove orchid from existing container and gently wash off all soil. Rinse entire plant and remove dead roots or leaves. Cut out rot on roots and allow wound to dry before repotting.
Repot orchids in spring or early summer when new growth begins. Divide plants that have become too large for their container. Orchids are tough plants, but must be firmly rooted for good growth. Tie plants to small stakes until they are strong enough to resist movement.
