Hooray, it's on its way and should arrive shortly.
How do you know you have whiteflies? If you brush by your plant and raise a white cloud of specs, you've got them. Whiteflies are tiny, but they travel in big crowds. The larvae are even tinier, but they eat more, usually on the underside of your plant leaves. You'll find whiteflies indoors and out. If you live in the south, they can be with you all year. Unless, of course, you treat them. Here's how:
You can hardly see whitefly larvae. But they're out there, eating away at your plants. For outdoors, you can control them with Ortho® Elementals™ Garden Insect Killer. It kills whiteflies in all its accessible stages. If you have affected plants inside and outside, use Ortho® Elementals™ Insecticidal Soap. Once they stop crawling and lock in on feeding on your plant, switch to a systemic insecticide.
Adults can be controlled in several ways. You can trap them with sticky paper traps. You can hose down your plants with water. Removing infested leaves can be effective. Also, Ortho® Elementals™ Insecticidal Soap can also help control adults, indoors and out. Treat only outdoor plants with Ortho® Elementals™ Garden Insect Killer.
