Bring in the kid committee and decide which vegetables, herbs, and spices to grow. Tomatoes, peppers, oregano, and basil come to mind. Next, decide on containers or a garden bed.
You want rich, crumbly soil without clumps for your garden. Remove any stones or debris from the soil, then add Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil for Flowers and Vegetables or Miracle-Gro® Organic Choice® Garden Soil. Add about 4" of Miracle-Gro soil on top of your existing soil, and work it in with a rake, hoe, or tiller.
