Here's a little something you probably never knew about Scotts® Turf Builder® with 2% Iron: the iron particles are mixed with molasses. We call the mixture sucrated iron. Why on earth would we want to mix those 2 ingredients together? For 2 important reasons.
Iron is an important nutrient for grass. It helps your lawn green up beautifully. But iron has a drawback: it can stain your driveway and sidewalks.
When molasses is added to the iron particles, the staining is inhibited. Also, microbes in your soil eat the molasses, and help process the nutrients contained in Scotts® Turf Builder®. So you get a beautiful, greener lawn.
