The National Garden - Washington, DC
Scotts Miracle-Gro is a founding sponsor of the National Garden at the U.S. Capitol. As part of its more than decade-long relationship, the company has provided $1 million in financial support and more than $500,000 in soils and growing mixes to create this national treasure.
Keep America Beautiful
Scotts Miracle-Gro and Keep America Beautiful partner to protect parks and create more green spaces in communities. Together, the partnership has planted nine community gardens across the U.S. and distributed thousands of brochures with tips for homeowners on how to maintain healthy lawns and gardens.
Scotts Urban Garden Academy
In conjunction with the Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Garden and the Columbus Foundation in Columbus, Ohio, the Scotts Urban Garden Academy offers a series of courses designed to provide community gardeners with the skills and resources necessary to maintain a community garden. To date, more than 90 gardens have been developed.
The New York Botanical Garden & Home Gardening Center
A long-time supporter of The New York Botanical Garden and sponsor of initiatives such as the Bronx Green-Up Project, Scotts Miracle-Gro strengthened its partnership in 2004 by becoming the official sponsor of Home Gardening at The New York Botanical Garden which offers numerous consumer education programs.
Garden Writers Association of America & Plant a Row for the Hungry Program
Scotts Miracle-Gro and the Garden Writers Association encourage home gardeners to plant an extra row of produce to share with local shelters and food pantries. Each year, more than one million pounds of fresh produce help feed the hungry across America.
Miracle-Gro Cap Kids
Launched in 2002, the Miracle-Gro Cap Kids program in Columbus, Ohio brings together parents, teachers and Scotts Miracle-Gro volunteers to mentor, motivate and encourage students in their academic life.
Ohio Reads
Each year since 2002, a group of Scotts Miracle-Gro volunteers has provided approximately two hours a week of tutoring and mentoring for students who need additional assistance in reading and math.
Farms for City Kids
Scotts Miracle-Gro has helped provide more than 3,800 students with the opportunity to be part of a working dairy farm in Vermont. Students apply their classroom skills and learn about teamwork and personal responsibility.
YMCA - Union County, Ohio
In 2000, Scotts Miracle-Gro entered into a seven-year commitment to fund $1 million to the Union County YMCA's building campaign. Funding was used to construct an indoor pool and support water therapy classes.
Memorial Hospital of Union County, Ohio
A $500,000 donation to the Memorial Hospital of Union County's new Women's Health Center helped create a state-of-the-art neonatal care facility to serve women and children in the Union County area.
Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio
Scotts Miracle-Gro is a major contributor and supporter of the Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Nationwide Children¿s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The center provides an innovative, one-stop location for families seeking to break the cycle of domestic violence.
