Ortho® Elementals® Lawn Weed Killer is derived from iron, which occurs in nature. This unique formula kills weeds, not lawns and people and pets can enter the treated area when the spray has dried.
Do not dilute. Thoroughly spray weeds. Use a coarse nozzle setting to reduce drift.
For the Pull 'N Spray Quick Connect® Sprayer:
Remove sprayer. Pull cord ALL THE WAY OUT. Insert red plug into spout (on cap) until it clicks. Flip up spout. Open nozzle at end of sprayer. Shake well before using.
The best times to treat weeds are in the Spring when they are small and growing and in the Fall to eliminate many of next year's weeds. Do not apply when the daytime temperature will exceed 85 degrees. Do not apply if rainfall is expected within 3 hours of application.
Repeat treatment in 3 to 4 weeks for best results. Do not apply to the same area more than 4 times a year not including spot treatments.
Use selectively to control/suppress broadleaf weeds growing in lawns.
Works quickly; dying weeds will be seen within hours of application. Treated weeds, moss, or algae will turn brown or black. Occasionally, a darkening of the grass leaf blades can occur after treatment, however the grass will recover within a few days to weeks. May stain thatch (dead grass under lawn); this does not affect the health of the grass.
